ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senior administrative officers posted in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been directed to remain prepared for a possible imposition of an emergency, according to government sources.
Sources said authorities in the relevant districts had been instructed to make advance preparations. If an emergency is imposed, government officers may be appointed as administrators in the affected districts.
The proposed administrators would oversee all administrative affairs in their respective districts, with government operations conducted under their supervision, sources added.
Meanwhile, an important meeting is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on Saturday to review matters relating to the possible imposition of an emergency in the 12 districts, according to sources.
