RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Traffic police have registered a case at New Town Police Station over an incident in which a motorcyclist and a citizen were dragged by a car on Murree Road, with police revealing new details about the incident.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 11:30pm on Friday. The person seen on the windshield of the vehicle was not the motorcycle's owner.
Police said the driver of a black car hit a white car from behind. The owner of the white car attempted to stop the offending vehicle, but the black car's driver allegedly tried to run him over instead.
The white car owner jumped onto the bonnet to save his life. When the vehicle still did not stop, he grabbed hold of its windshield. The driver allegedly continued driving and dragged a motorcycle that came in his path along with the vehicle.
Citizens chased the car and managed to stop it, saving the citizen. Following a 15 emergency call, a Sadiqabad police mobile officer reached the scene.
Police said the officer initially brokered a settlement among the three parties. However, after a video of the incident went viral on social media, traffic police registered a case at New Town Police Station.
All three parties have been summoned to New Town Police Station by the duty officer at Sadiqabad Police Station.
