PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have installed iron nets at police stations and checkposts as a precaution against potential drone attacks.
According to police officials, the measure was taken in view of the threat of drone attacks, with the nets expected to help minimize damage. Iron nets have been installed at police stations in Peshawar and Khyber as well.
Fishing nets have also been placed at checkpoints of sensitive police stations as part of the protective measures.
Police officials said the installations were intended to reduce the potential impact of drone attacks on police facilities and personnel.
Meanwhile, two drone attacks have been reported in Peshawar over the past few days. During the last six months, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reportedly foiled 250 drone attacks.
