HYDERABAD (Dunya News) - MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said reforms are essential to bridge gap between the government and the people.
Addressing a Defence Day ceremony here on Sunday, Dr Farooq Sattar said Pakistan is now moving for better economy. The government must ensure implementation of reforms to bridge gap between the government and the people.
He said Pakistan is observing Defence Day to pay homage to martyrs of 1965 War, adding Marka-e-Haq was historic victory when the entire nation became a leaden wall against the enemy.
The MQM leader said that the importance of September 6 is like August 14. On this occasion, we pay tribute and respect to all the martyrs of the Pakistan Army. Our soldiers sacrificed their lives for the freedom and defence of the country, he added.
Farooq Sattar said that for the first time, the world saw that Pakistani soldiers, without caring for their lives, thwarted the enemy's intentions. In Marka-e-Haq on May 10, 2025, Pakistan gave an effective response to Indian Rafale aircraft through modern and emerging technology.
He said US President Donald Trump's count is not over yet, he has reached 10, 11.
