ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented a Rs10 million cheque to nurse Razia Noreen for saving the life of a newborn, praising her courage and bravery.
Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation was proud of Razia Noreen and appreciated her courage. He said her heroic act would be remembered in history and that the nation paid tribute to her bravery.
The prime minister also announced that Razia Noreen would be awarded the Tamgha-e-Khidmat on March 23.

During the meeting, Noreen recalled that the fire was spreading rapidly, but she did not hesitate and entered the area to rescue the children. She said the baby was extremely small, but she managed to rescue and bring the child to safety.
She said that when she returned inside to rescue other children, an explosion occurred and darkness engulfed the area. She then asked another nurse to save the children.
Noreen told the prime minister that she had simply performed her duty but was deeply pleased by the recognition and honour bestowed upon her.
