ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Reports regarding the engagement and forthcoming marriage of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have emerged, with sources claiming that the development is linked to Liechtenstein in Europe.
According to the reports, Bilawal’s fiancée is from Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. Sources claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari has travelled to Liechtenstein, accompanied by other family members, to discuss and set a date for his son’s wedding.
Liechtenstein is a small sovereign state in Western Europe, situated between Switzerland and Austria. Its capital, Vaduz, is known for its picturesque Alpine surroundings and is the country’s political and administrative centre.
The sources said Bilawal's wedding ceremony is expected to take place by the end of this year. However, the reports have been categorically rejected by the PPP.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, who also serves as a spokesperson for PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, denied reports about the engagement or marriage.
Taking to social media on Saturday, Wahab said the reports were “incorrect and unfounded.”
“The news story regarding Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s engagement or wedding is incorrect and unfounded,” he said.
With no official announcement from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari or his family confirming the reported engagement, the claims remain unverified. The PPP’s denial currently stands as the party’s official position on the matter.
