LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has stressed the need for Muslims to incorporate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) into their individual and collective lives.
In her message on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), the chief minister extended greetings to the Muslim Ummah and said the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a great blessing and a moment of gratitude for Muslims.
Maryam Nawaz said the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brought a message of mercy, guidance and light for all humanity. She said the Prophet (PBUH) provided dignity and respect to vulnerable segments of society and stood for the rights of the oppressed, slaves and women.
She said the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) showed humanity the path of justice, compassion, equality and respect for human dignity.
The chief minister said following the Seerat of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the key to success in both this world and the Hereafter.
She emphasised that true love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) required Muslims to follow his teachings and make his noble example a practical part of their personal and social lives.
Maryam Nawaz also called for renewed commitment to promoting love, brotherhood, tolerance, justice and humanity in society by following the teachings and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
