LAHORE (Web Desk) - Pakistan’s printing and signage industry has significant potential to become a driver of innovation, entrepreneurship and MSME-led economic growth as businesses increasingly adopt digital technologies, SMEDA Chief Executive Officer Nadia Jahangir Seth said on Friday.

Speaking as chief guest at the inauguration of the 9th International Digital Printing & Signage Exhibition at Expo Centre Lahore, Seth said digital and creative solutions were transforming the sector and creating new opportunities for enterprises to innovate, scale up and compete in domestic and international markets.

She said the exhibition reflected the industry’s entrepreneurial strength and willingness to embrace emerging technologies and new business models.

Referring to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the SMEDA chief said the authority, under the guidance of Adviser to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, was working to create an enabling environment for micro, small and medium enterprises to formalise their operations, expand and improve competitiveness.

Seth highlighted SMEDA initiatives focusing on MSME formalisation through the SME Registration Portal, improved access to finance, digital adoption, product quality and standards, and greater market access and export opportunities.

She called for stronger cooperation between SMEDA, industry associations, technology providers, financial institutions and businesses to address sector-specific challenges and develop practical solutions for sustainable growth.

Fakt Exhibitions CEO Saleem Tanoli said the event brought together manufacturers, distributors, technology providers, entrepreneurs and other industry stakeholders on a common platform.
