Malaysian home minister visits NADRA headquarters, praises digital services

Malaysian Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail visited NADRA headquarters in Islamabad and praised its digital systems, technology-driven services and initiatives aimed at public convenience.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Malaysian Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail visited the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) headquarters in Islamabad, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry.

NADRA Chairman Lt Gen Muhammad Munir Afsar received the visiting delegation and briefed the Malaysian minister on the authority’s modern systems, digitalisation initiatives and measures introduced to improve the delivery of services to citizens.

During the briefing, the delegation was apprised of NADRA’s use of modern technology and digital solutions aimed at making identity and registration-related services faster and more accessible to the public.

The Malaysian home minister described his visit to NADRA as encouraging and appreciated the authority’s progress in digitalisation and its use of technology to facilitate citizens.

He also praised NADRA’s initiatives for providing faster and more efficient public services, saying its modern technology and digital services reflected Pakistan’s technological capabilities.

The Malaysian minister and members of his delegation also toured different sections of the NADRA headquarters, where they reviewed the authority’s systems and service-delivery mechanisms.
