(Web Desk) – Bangladesh secured their first test victory in Australia with a nine-wicket win in the series-opener in Darwin on Sunday.
Replying to Australia's 198, the visitors posted 426 in the first innings, powered by Tanzid Hasan's century. Bangladesh then bowled the hosts out for 284, with Mehidy Hasan Miraz claiming five wickets in the second innings, while Hasan Mahmud finished with nine wickets in the match.
Australia have suffered heavy upset home defeats in the past, the most recent an eight-run loss to West Indies at the Gabba in 2024 when Shamar Joseph ripped through them.
