KARACHI (Dunya News) – The planned exhumation of the grave of Karachi businessman Mir Raza was postponed on Friday after the formation of a third medical board for the process.
A notification regarding the new medical board has also been issued. The development came as authorities prepared for the exhumation in connection with the Mir Raza murder case.
Speaking to the media, the victim’s lawyer Jibran Nasir said that a third notification regarding the medical board had been issued. He claimed that the first and second medical boards were merged to form the new board.
Nasir said they did not accept the third medical board notification and added that Mir Raza’s parents had recorded their statements before the investigation officer.
He further stated that the magistrate had been informed that the newly formed medical board was not acceptable.
Nasir also raised questions over the investigation, saying that the victim’s father had directly questioned the Sindh chief minister. He alleged that only selected portions of the incident’s video were being shown and claimed that evidence appeared later after the matter was taken to court.
