LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has constituted a high-level committee to advance legal and administrative reforms in the province and has issued a formal notification for the implementation of its reform agenda.
According to the notification, Advocate General Punjab Barrister Zafarullah Khan has been appointed as the chairman and convener of the Reforms Committee.
The committee's members include the Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, the Inspector General of Punjab Police, and the Secretary of Law.
Under the notification, the committee will prepare recommendations on legal and administrative reforms and submit them to the Chief Minister of Punjab through the Chief Secretary.
The government has also decided to establish a Reforms Cell in the office of the Advocate General Punjab. Administrative and logistical matters related to the cell will be finalized in consultation with the Chief Secretary Punjab.
The notification states that the committee has been established to develop practical proposals aimed at improving Punjab's legal, administrative, and governance systems.
