Petrol price up by Rs4.45, diesel cut by Rs2 per litre

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The federal government has increased the price of petrol and reduced the diesel, according to a notification issued here on Wednesday.

According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs 2 per litre, after which the new price of diesel has been set at Rs385.86 per litre.

Similarly, the price of petrol was increased by Rs 4.45 per litre, after which the new price of petrol has become Rs 333.1 per litre.

According to the Petroleum Division, the new prices of petrol and diesel have been determined by Ogra, which came into effect.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs 3.39 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel was reduced by Rs 4.7 per litre.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) updates petroleum products prices on a daily basis on its website to ensure transparency and allow the immediate impact of international price fluctuations to be passed on to consumers.

The daily pricing is based on a seven-day weekly average of international market prices to align with international standards, according to Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik.
