Hamza Shehbaz assigned key role at centre, allocated office at PM House

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Punjab CM Hamza Shehbaz has been assigned an important role at the federal level and has been allocated an office at the Prime Minister House, according to sources.

Sources said Hamza will oversee the PML-N's political affairs in the federal government.

Following his arrival in Islamabad, he held meetings with federal ministers including Sardar Awais Leghari, Attaullah Tarar and Ali Pervaiz Malik.

According to sources, the decision to assign Hamza Shehbaz federal responsibilities was taken during a recent high-level party meeting in Murree.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Sources further said Hamza Shehbaz will operate from his office on the sixth floor of the Prime Minister House, where he is also expected to hold meetings with PML-N lawmakers.
