KANDIAN, GUJRAT (Dunya News) - Flood conditions continued in several rivers across Pakistan on Wednesday following ongoing monsoon rains, prompting authorities to maintain a high state of alert.
According to official reports, Chashma Barrage remains under low-level flood conditions, with water inflows recorded at 310,446 cusecs.
Flood control officials said water outflow from the barrage stood at 301,000 cusecs, adding that inflows had increased by 34,000 cusecs over the past 16 hours.
Low-level flooding also persisted at Jinnah Barrage, where water inflows were measured at 309,000 cusecs and outflows at 305,000 cusecs.
Meanwhile, elevated water levels continued in the Chenab River at Head Marala, where inflows reached 205,488 cusecs, while outflows were recorded at 187,388 cusecs.
District authorities said all relevant departments had been instructed to remain vigilant, with continuous monitoring of rivers, streams and flood-prone areas to respond promptly to any deterioration in the situation.
