Pakistan to host Iranian interior minister for high-level talks: sources

Sources said Eskandar Momeni is scheduled to hold key meetings with Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan's senior leadership during the visit.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is expected to visit Pakistan at the invitation of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to sources.

Sources said Momeni is scheduled to hold key meetings with Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan's senior leadership during the visit.

The discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations, border cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.

A high-level Iranian delegation is also expected to accompany the interior minister, the sources added.

Earlier, Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, alleged that the United States had resumed military action in violation of the terms of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The Iranian envoy said the reported move to take control of the Strait of Hormuz constituted a breach of the Islamabad MoU and violated international law.

He urged the international community to condemn the US actions and ensure compliance with international legal principles.
