Bushra Ansari hit back at age-shaming critics on social media, urging them to find new topics and saying ageing is natural and should not be a target of criticism.

KARACHI (Web Desk) — Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has strongly responded to critics who repeatedly target her age and appearance on social media, saying they should find something new to talk about.

Speaking in an Instagram story shared by her niece and actress Zara Noor Abbas, Bushra Ansari said some people seem obsessed with calling others “old” or “fat,” describing such behavior as unnecessary and strange.

She remarked that some social media users apparently have no topic left for criticism other than age.

During the conversation, actor Asad Siddiqui asked whom she was referring to, to which Bushra Ansari responded in her trademark humorous style, saying such critics often have birds displayed as profile pictures on social media.

Her witty remark drew laughter from those present during the gathering.

Actress Asma Abbas also joined the discussion, saying she too has grown tired of hearing repetitive comments about her age.

The two sisters stressed that ageing is a natural process and should not be turned into a subject of criticism.

Bushra Ansari further said some people may feel jealous that she and her sister continue to live active, busy and joyful lives at this stage of their age, while those criticizing them may lack positivity in their own lives.

She added sarcastically that perhaps she would now need to do something truly unusual so people would have a fresh topic to discuss, since critics currently seem fixated only on her age.
