ISTANBUL (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul on a bilateral visit to Türkiye at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The prime minister was received at Ataturk Airport by Turkish Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Omer Bolat, Pakistan's Ambassador to Türkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid, officials of Türkiye's Foreign Ministry and members of the Pakistani embassy.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are accompanying the prime minister during the visit.
During his stay, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold talks with President Erdogan on various aspects of Pakistan-Türkiye relations.
The discussions will focus on expanding bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation, while regional peace, security and other issues of mutual regional and international interest will also be on the agenda.
The prime minister will also address a Pakistan-hosted business conference in Istanbul aimed at showcasing investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in Special Economic Zones (SEZs), energy, information technology, privatization and other key sectors.
Prominent Turkish business leaders, investors, senior government officials and other distinguished guests are expected to attend the conference.
