ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar departed for Cairo on Saturday to participate in a meeting of foreign ministers from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt aimed at discussing key regional and international issues.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar will represent Pakistan at the fourth meeting of the R-4 Group foreign ministers, where participants are expected to exchange views on matters of mutual interest, regional security and global developments.
During his visit, the deputy prime minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the participating countries to discuss ways to strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation.
Dar is additionally expected to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. Discussions are likely to focus on Pakistan-Egypt relations, regional developments and opportunities for enhancing cooperation in various sectors.
The meeting comes as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt seek closer coordination on regional security challenges and broader geopolitical issues affecting the Middle East and beyond.
