ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Thursday that approximately 3,500 Pakistani nationals were deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for violating the country's social media laws during the Iran-US conflict.

Officials told lawmakers that the deportations were linked to breaches of UAE regulations governing online content and social media activity.

The government further stated that the assets and properties of the deported individuals are being transferred to their legal heirs in accordance with relevant procedures.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured parliament that it would provide assistance to affected families facing difficulties regarding property transfers or other related matters.

Authorities urged Pakistani nationals living abroad to comply with the laws and regulations of their host countries, particularly those governing online conduct and public communication.
