ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court has directed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to submit its response in a petition seeking the blocking of former prime minister Imran Khan’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
The hearing was conducted by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir in the Islamabad High Court. During proceedings, the court took up the petition related to the alleged blocking of Imran Khan’s X account.

Due to the absence of a written reply from PTI, the court reissued notices to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, directing him to submit a response in his capacity as party head.
The petition had been filed by Advocate Ghulam Murtaza. During the hearing, representatives including Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry and Murtaza Tori appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner side.
The court also made remarks regarding prior decisions and inquired about the individuals coming from jail-related matters, while referring counsel to earlier judgments.
Instructions were also issued to relevant officials, including representatives of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, directing that in future, a designated law officer should appear in court.
The court further stated that it would frame questions in the next hearing, and the regulator would be required to respond accordingly. The case has been adjourned until September 10.
