ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy on Thursday, where he discussed professional and training-related matters with trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).

During the visit, the interior minister emphasized the importance of adopting modern technology and smart policing practices. He urged trainee officers to treat the public with courtesy in the field and ensure prompt resolution of their issues.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that ASP trainees represent the future of the country and expressed full confidence in their professional capabilities. He said providing high-quality training and modern facilities remains a top priority of the government.

He further announced that the first batch of elite training will be launched soon, adding that training aligned with modern requirements is essential for effective policing.

The minister also said that training and residential facilities at the National Police Academy are being upgraded to international standards.

On the occasion, the interior minister inspected the under-construction hostel at the academy, reviewed a model room, and directed authorities to make necessary improvements. He also instructed that the project be completed as soon as possible.

Senior officials including the commandant of the National Police Academy, DG FIA, DG NCCIA, the Islamabad Police chief, and other senior officers were present during the visit.
