Pak Navy confiscates liquor consignment in joint anti-smuggling operation

Pakistan Navy, PMSA and anti-narcotics officials seized a liquor consignment in Gadani during a joint sea-based anti-smuggling operation, highlighting inter-agency coordination.

KARACHI (APP) - In a joint intelligence-based anti-smuggling operation, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and Excise, Taxation & Anti Narcotics

Department (South Zone) Balochistan, in coordination with Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), confiscated a sizeable liquor consignment from the Gadani area of Balochistan.

The consignment was being transported from international destinations via sea to Pakistan. The recovered contraband has been handed over to Excise, Taxation & Anti Narcotics Department (South Zone), Balochistan, for further legal proceedings, said a news release issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy).

The successful operation underscores the effectiveness of inter-agency coordination in countering smuggling while highlighting the resolve of Pakistan Navy to deny use of sea for illicit activities.
