(Web Desk) - Renowned Pakistani television host and producer Nida Yasir has shared her views on choosing a future son-in-law, saying she would respect her daughter's decision when it comes to selecting a life partner.
Speaking during her morning show, Nida Yasir discussed the qualities she would look for in a prospective son-in-law if her daughter introduced someone of her own choosing.
The conversation arose when guest Ghazal Siddiqui asked Nida how she would react if her daughter brought forward a man she wished to marry.
Responding to the question, Nida said parents should raise their children in a way that enables them to make wise and responsible decisions about important life matters.
She noted that her own parents had trusted her judgment, and for the same reason, she would respect her daughter's choice.
"I would want my daughter to choose a life partner for whom we would have no reason to object," she said. "As a father, my husband may consider other aspects as well, but as a mother, I would give priority to my daughter's opinion."
Nida added that she has always encouraged her daughter to be independent, confident and aware of the world around her. She expressed confidence that this upbringing would help her make the right decision when choosing a future spouse.
