The supreme leader urged the public to maintain national unity and solidarity

TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned the Iranian public that the United States, after suffering defeat in war, is now resorting to new tactics against Iran.

According to Iranian media reports, in a statement issued from Tehran on Thursday during the opening session of the new Iranian Parliament, Mojtaba Khamenei said that the United States seeks to sow discord among the Iranian people and that the enemy continues to devise one conspiracy after another.

The supreme leader urged the public to maintain national unity and solidarity, stating that the United States has already been defeated in war and is now pursuing new strategies.

He said Washington aims to create social divisions within the Iranian nation after attempting to impose war, economic pressure, and propaganda campaigns against the country.

The report added that Khamenei observed an extraordinary level of unity among the Iranian people in recent circumstances and stressed the need to further strengthen national cohesion.

He said the enemy’s primary objective is to create differences and deepen social divisions in order to compensate for failures on the military front.

According to him, sanctions, economic pressure, and propaganda are being used to spread unrest in society; however, the Iranian nation has demonstrated unity and determination during difficult times.

Khamenei stated that Iran has proven its superiority through its actions before both friends and enemies.

He also urged members of parliament to focus on resolving public issues, prioritize national reconstruction, and address economic and livelihood challenges in particular.

Emphasizing the role of parliament, he said the legislative institution represents an important front in the path of national development.

Therefore, lawmakers should work in coordination with the government while preserving their legislative independence.

The Iranian supreme leader further stated that parliament should enact laws directly related to public issues and the country’s essential needs, and that such legislation should inspire hope and contribute to future development.
