President Zardari, PM Shehbaz offer Eidul Azha prayers, call for unity, sacrifice

Shehbaz said the message of Eidul Azha encourages sacrifice for the greater good and inspires Muslims to place collective welfare above personal interests.

(Web Desk) – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eidul Azha prayers along with thousands of worshippers and urged the nation to uphold the spirit of unity, sacrifice and compassion on the religious occasion.

President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eidul Azha prayers at Zardari House in Nawabshah, where a large number of citizens and dignitaries also joined the congregation.

The President prayed for the security, development and prosperity of the country. After the Eid prayers, he met citizens and local elders and exchanged Eid greetings.

President Zardari, in his Eid message, said Eidul Azha teaches Muslims the values of obedience, patience and selflessness demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). He stressed the need for promoting national harmony, brotherhood and support for the underprivileged segments of society.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also offered Eid prayers in Lahore and prayed for the peace, stability and prosperity of the country. He urged the nation to remember the poor and deserving people during Eid celebrations and called for collective efforts to strengthen unity and overcome national challenges.

The prime minister said the message of Eidul Azha encourages sacrifice for the greater good and inspires Muslims to place collective welfare above personal interests.

Special prayers were also offered across the country for Pakistan’s development, public well-being and unity of the Muslim Ummah, while citizens celebrated Eidul Azha with religious devotion and traditional enthusiasm.
