Talal Chaudhry inaugurates Islamabad Atatürk Avenue Expansion Project

Speaking at the ceremony, Talal Chaudhry said the Ministry of Interior is moving forward in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to develop a modern, safe, and green Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Representing Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Monday inaugurated the Islamabad Atatürk Avenue Expansion Project, marking a key step toward enhancing the capital’s infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony, Talal Chaudhry said the Ministry of Interior is moving forward in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to develop a modern, safe, and green Islamabad.

Under the project, Atatürk Avenue has been widened from 24 feet to 52 feet, a development expected to bring significant improvement to traffic flow and ease longstanding congestion in the area.

Talal Chaudhry added that the project has been completed in accordance with the federal government’s infrastructure vision while ensuring that all trees were fully protected during construction.

The upgraded avenue now features modern lighting, an improved drainage system, pedestrian walkways, and enhanced safety measures.

“Environmental protection remains our top priority in all development projects,” the Minister of State emphasized.
