LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed officials to move out of offices and remain in the field during Eidul Azha to ensure effective implementation of arrangements.
Chairing a high-level meeting on Eid preparations, security and sanitation, the chief minister issued detailed guidelines to district commissioners and district police officers across the province.
She said all officers from DCs to DPOs must ensure exemplary arrangements during Eid, warning that no negligence would be tolerated.
The chief minister instructed strict action against those dumping animal remains in streets, neighbourhoods, drains and canals, imposing a fine of Rs50,000 for violations.
She ordered enforcement of restrictions on the sale of sacrificial animals only in designated cattle markets and directed action against illegal markets.
Maryam Nawaz also called for digital monitoring and vigilance operations in cattle markets, along with strong security measures to prevent theft and robbery incidents.
She directed authorities to ensure that banned organisations are not allowed to collect animal hides and ordered strict security arrangements at sensitive locations, including continued combing operations.
The use of loudspeakers at collection camps for hides was also banned.
The chief minister further ordered a ban on aerial firing and display of weapons, along with restrictions on loudspeaker use in mosques and gatherings.
She instructed that mosques and Eid congregations be prepared with rose water arrangements and sanitation across railway colonies, cantonment areas and private housing societies be ensured.
Maryam Nawaz announced rewards for top-performing teams in cleanliness operations and directed uninterrupted water supply during Eid holidays.
She also ordered covering of dumping sites near airports, safety checks for swings in parks, and a ban on temporary amusement rides across the province.
The chief minister directed cyber patrols to counter hate content on social media and warned that strict action would be taken in case of violation of Eid SOPs.
All district officials and police officers participated in the video-link meeting, where the chief minister stressed full compliance with instructions.
