KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday inaugurated Shahrah-e-Bhutto in Karachi.

The PPP chairman reached the venue accompanied by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by former chief minister Qaim Ali Shah, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, and provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, and Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab also attended the event.

Prominent businessman Arif Habib, Sindh Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, and Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan were also present at the ceremony.

Sindh Assembly Speaker Awais Qadir Shah, provincial ministers Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Shahina Sher Ali, and Jam Khan Shoro, along with advisers, special assistants, members of the national and provincial assemblies, PPP leaders, and a large number of party workers also participated in the event.

Constructed under a public-private partnership, Shahrah-e-Bhutto is a 39-kilometer-long signal-free corridor stretching from Qayyumabad to the M-9 Motorway, featuring six interchanges.

Bilawal also took an inaugural drive on Shahrah-e-Bhutto, while Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah drove the vehicle.

During the journey, PPP chairman paid the toll tax at the Dumlottee Toll Plaza.

The PPP Chairman inaugurated the segment of Shahrah-e-Bhutto from Quaidabad to Kathore and also laid the foundation stone for the Expressway from Qayyumabad to Karachi Port.
