QUETTA (Dunya News) - A business skills competition has commenced in Balochistan under the Balochistan Youth Socio-Economic Development Programme.
According to sources, the competitions are being organised by the Directorate of Youth Affairs Balochistan, with around 600 students from universities across the province participating in the event.
The young participants are showcasing their entrepreneurial ideas, marketing strategies and product development skills during the competition.
Officials said the winning team would receive a cash prize of Rs300,000 along with a trophy, while runner-up teams would be awarded Rs200,000.
Individual winners will also receive cash prizes worth Rs60,000.
Director Youth Affairs Ilyas Baloch said the programme had been included in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) under the provincial youth policy on the special directives of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
He said empowering young people was part of the provincial government’s vision.
Ilyas Baloch added that the youth policy would strengthen young people politically, socially and economically.
He said Balochistan’s youth possessed immense talent and only required opportunities to excel.
“A single good idea can bring major change, and young people should believe in their dreams,” he added.
