Islamabad police issue traffic plan for Marka-e-Haq celebrations

Islamabad Traffic Police issued diversions for “Marka-e-Haq” celebrations; major roads closed 6 pm–12 am, LTVs diverted, and heavy traffic banned 4 am–12 am on 10 May.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a special traffic management plan ahead of the “Marka-e-Haq” celebrations.

According to the plan, traffic diversions will be in effect from 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight on various major roads across the city.

Srinagar Highway will be closed from Koorianwala Chowk to Peshawar Mor, while the Expressway from Faizabad to Khayaban Chowk and Faisal Avenue will also remain off-limits for traffic.

Motorists traveling from the motorway to Murree are advised to use Ninth Avenue and Colonel Sher Khan Road, while those heading to the motorway from Murree and Bhara Kahu should take Murree Road and IJP Road.

For travel between the Red Zone and Rawalpindi, motorists are directed to use Margalla Road or Jinnah Avenue, and those coming from Rawalpindi to Islamabad are recommended to take Faquir-e-Azam Road or Ninth Avenue.

Similarly, travelers from Murree to Rawat are advised to use Park Road and Lehtrar Road, while vehicles from Peshawar Mor to Rawat should take Ninth Avenue, Stadium Road, and Rawal Road.

Additionally, light transport vehicles (LTVs) will be diverted from Rawat toward Rawalpindi between 5:00 pm and midnight.

On 10 May, all heavy traffic will be restricted from entering the city from 4:00 am to midnight.
