Punjab's Education Minister forms squad to deal with cheating mafia

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat on Sunday constituted a squad to deal with the cheating mafia ahead of Class 9th Mathematics exam on Monday.

He warned the cheating mafia of strict action and asked them keep away from examination centres.

According to sources, Rana Sikandar Hayat said that 10 secret teams have been dispatched to South Punjab for surprise monitoring of the 9th grade Mathematics exam on Monday.

He stated that the areas where the secret squads have already reached include Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalnagar, adding that he may also conduct a surprise visit to any district today.

Rana Sikandar Hayat clearly warned the cheating mafia to stay away from examination centres. He also advised the students not to fall for anyone’s influence and to stay focused on their exams.

The Education Minister said that the rights of students taking the exam will be ensured at all costs, and that the cheating mafia should stop dreaming of playing with the future of children.

He further added that if caught, students and other involved individuals will be responsible for their own loss. Transparency in examinations is the top priority, and no negligence will be tolerated.
