Dar also acknowledged the cooperation of Turkish authorities, confirming that Khan is expected to return to Istanbul before travelling onward to Pakistan. He credited the swift response of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s embassy in Athens for contributing to the resolution of the situation.

The deputy prime minister strongly condemned what he described as the detention of humanitarian workers by Israel, reiterating Pakistan’s stance on the issue. He said that any obstruction to aid reaching civilians in Gaza Strip was unacceptable, particularly given the ongoing humanitarian conditions in the territory.

He added that the government remained committed to advocating for humanitarian access and the protection of civilians in conflict zones.
