LARKANA (Dunya News) – Two young brothers drowned while bathing in a canal to escape the intense heat in the Daur area of Sindh's Shaheed Benazirabad, officials said on Friday.
According to initial reports, the victims were identified as 12-year-old Hasan Shah and his brother Fida Hussain Shah. Rescue teams rushed to the scene after receiving information about the incident.
During a search operation, rescuers recovered the body of Hasan Shah from the canal, while efforts were ongoing to locate the second brother.
Eyewitnesses said the children accidentally moved into deeper water while bathing, leading to the tragic incident.
Authorities have urged parents to remain vigilant and discourage children from entering canals, particularly during extreme weather conditions.
