Lahore Board introduces automated system for practical exams

Updated on:

Lahore Board launched automated practical exam system to ensure transparency, end favoritism and improve examination management processes.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Lahore Board has introduced an automated system for practical examinations for the first time.

The step was taken under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, with directions from Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat and Chairman Task Force Committee for Boards Muzammil Mahmood, as efforts to digitize the education system continue.

Under the new system, duties of practical examiners will now be assigned through a computerized process.

Officials said the automated mechanism will help eliminate favoritism, as no examiner will be able to secure duty at a center of personal choice.

On the instructions of Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, transparency in the examination process has been ensured.

The Lahore Board has also completed preparations to shift all practical exams to a central marking system.
