PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - At least two terrorists were killed in an operation conducted by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Peshawar on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the CTD conducted on an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Regi Bypass area of Peshawar during which the terrorists opened fire. The CTD personnel returned the fire due to which two terrorists were killed.
The killed terrorists were identified as Abbas and Usman who were involved in the martyrdom of CTD constable Sanaullah. Mobile phone of the martyred constable was also recovered from their possession.
The CTD spokesperson stated that the killed terrorists Abbas and Usman were wanted in dozens of terrorism cases. In attacks carried out by these militants, five police personnel were martyred and more than a dozen others were injured.
The spokesperson informed that the accomplices of the killed terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness, while a heavy police contingent has launched a search operation to apprehend them.
