According to officials, the operation was carried out by Mochko police on a tip-off, leading to the interception of two vehicles entering the city from Balochistan. The suspects—six men and three women were taken into custody during the raid.

Authorities recovered 236 bundles of Iranian currency from the vehicles, amounting to approximately 2.969 billion rials. The suspects have been identified as Muhammad Asghar, Abdul Ghaffar, Bibi Sahara, Gul Seema, Bibi Afsana, Taj Muhammad, Muhammad Naseem, Naimatullah, and Anar Gul.

Police said the group is believed to be part of a highly wanted smuggling network involved in cross-border currency trafficking.
