QUETTA (Dunya News) - A province-wide anti-polio campaign is set to begin tomorrow in Balochistan, aiming to protect millions of children from the virus.
According to Inam ul Haq, Coordinator of the Emergency Operations Centre, the campaign targets over 2.66 million children under the age of five who will be administered polio drops.
He added that children will also receive Vitamin A supplements during the campaign to boost their immunity.
Officials stated that no polio case has been reported in Balochistan so far this year. However, traces of the virus have been detected in environmental samples, raising concerns and highlighting the need for continued vigilance.
The campaign is part of a nationwide effort to eliminate polio and ensure the health and safety of children across the region.
