Hyderabad Kingsmen beat Karachi Kings by four wickets in PSL 11 clash

The fixture marked the first-ever meeting between the Kingsmen and the 2020 champions in PSL history

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Hyderabad Kingsmen secured a four-wicket victory over Karachi Kings in an exciting contest at National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

After winning the toss, Hyderabad captain Marnus Labuschagne opted to field first, inviting the home side to bat.

Batting first, Karachi Kings posted a competitive total of 188 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

Young batter Saad Baig led the charge with a responsible 53-run innings, while captain Moeen Ali played a blistering knock of 44 off just 16 balls, smashing five sixes to boost the total.

For Hyderabad, Hunain Shah impressed with the ball, claiming three wickets.

In response, Hyderabad Kingsmen chased down the target in 19.1 overs.

Saim Ayub laid a solid foundation with 67 runs, though regular wickets in the middle overs kept the match finely balanced.

Hassan Khan then delivered a match-winning cameo, scoring 33 runs off just 16 balls at a strike rate of over 200 to guide his team to victory. Irfan Khan remained unbeaten on 29.

For Karachi, Abbas Afridi picked up two wickets but could not prevent his side from slipping to a second consecutive defeat.
