TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Millions of people across Iran, including in the capital Tehran, took out rallies to mark the Chehlum of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as senior military commanders and schoolchildren killed in earlier attacks.
According to Iranian media, the main procession, which began on Thursday morning, started from Jomhuri Square and proceeded to the site where Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred.
Similar rallies and gatherings were also held in several other cities and districts across the country.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also participated in the commemorative procession.

During the event, he mingled with the public, with many citizens seen taking selfies with the president.
It is worth noting that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was martyred on February 28, on the first day of attacks on Iran carried out by the United States and Israel.
Several members of his family were also among the deceased.
A number of senior Iranian military commanders and advisers were also killed in the attacks, including Abdolrahim Mousavi, Ali Shamkhani, and Mohammad Pakpour.
