KHANEWAL (Dunya News) – Two labourers were killed after soil collapsed on them while they were working inside a well near Gul Abad area of Khanewal, officials said on Thursday.
The tragic incident happened due to the poor and damaged condition of the well, which took a sudden turn for the worse when loose soil fell inside. It turned into a race against time as rescue teams rushed to the scene.
Rescue 1122 officials carried out an operation for several hours before recovering the bodies of both workers from the well. Despite efforts, the labourers could not be saved.
Rescue staff immediately shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for legal formalities. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident to determine responsibility and prevent such accidents in the future.
