Abhishek Sharma hospitalised ahead of India's T20 World Cup clash

India suffered a blow as opener Abhishek Sharma was hospitalised in Delhi with stomach issues and fever, making his Namibia match doubtful.

MUMBAI (Dunya News) - The Indian cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of its second match in the T20 World Cup as aggressive opening batter Abhishek Sharma has fallen ill and has been admitted to a hospital.

Reports said Sharma was taken to a hospital in Delhi due to stomach-related complications, raising doubts over his availability for tomorrow’s match against Namibia.

Media sources added that he was also given IV drips after developing a fever.

It is worth noting that India won its opening match against the United States, but apart from captain Suryakumar Yadav, no top-order batter delivered a notable performance.
