QUETTA (Dunya News) – A Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) inspector has been apprehended in connection with Rs115million robbery in Cut Piece Market of City Police jurisdiction, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
The suspect has been identified as Aurangzeb Khokhar. He has been handed over to Serious Crime Investigation Wing on three-day remand.
According to sources, the market robbery took place two months ago. A policeman, Mahmood, and a citizen, Habib, had already been arrested, and the arrest of the CTD officer was made on the information of his under custody accomplices.
One crore and 90 Lakh rupees have so far been recovered from the arrested accused, police said.
According to sources, a dacoit gang and arrested policemen jointly planned the robbery in the market in December, 2025. Raids were being made to arrest their other accomplices.
