CM Maryam Nawaz pledges Rs10 billion to support security forces in Balochistan

Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz announced Rs10 billion support for Balochistan’s security forces, pledging full cooperation to tackle challenges and promote peace, unity, and stability.

QUETTA (Web Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a Rs10 billion assistance package to support security forces and law-and-order efforts in Balochistan during her official visit to Quetta.

She arrived with provincial ministers and attended a ceremony at the Frontier Corps Headquarters. CM Maryam Nawaz also met Governor Balochistan Jafar Mandokhel and Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, along with provincial ministers and coalition members.

Later, she visited the CM Secretariat, where she was warmly received by the Balochistan cabinet and assembly members.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said Punjab would stand shoulder to shoulder with Balochistan in facing security and development challenges.

She praised the resilience of the people of Balochistan and stressed that peace, stability, and prosperity can only be achieved through national unity. CM Sarfraz Bugti welcomed the support, calling it a positive and timely step.
