LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif is set to join select Basant festivities in Lahore, spending a day in the Walled City and inviting longtime friends to celebrate together.
He will use the occasion to revisit memories associated with Lahore’s traditional culture.
Known for his love of Lahori heritage, Nawaz Sharif has actively promoted safe and organized Basant celebrations in recent months.
He held several meetings with cultural stakeholders to ensure the festival could be celebrated responsibly. Having grown up in the Walled City, he sees Basant as a key part of Punjab’s cultural and seasonal identity.

The Basant festival is scheduled from February 6 to 8, with extensive arrangements made by local authorities and the public to ensure smooth celebrations.
