KARACHI (Dunya News) – A newly-married couple was shot dead in what police suspected an honour killing in Behance Colony here on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sadheer and Saima. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the brother of Sadheer, who alleged that the girl’s family members killed the couple.
The couple had married a month and a half ago and were living happily when they were targeted. The man was a rickshaw driver. In the firing, a passerby was also injured.
Having being informed, police reached the crime scene and started investigation after sending the dead bodies to hospital for medicolegal procedure.
Initial investigation revealed that the girl’s relatives were livid over the marriage. Police were investigating with all possible angles. The killers escaped after the incident. Raids were being made to arrest the fleeing suspects.
