QUETTA (Dunya News) - Mari Energies Limited has announced gas discovery at the Tibri-1 exploratory well in the Kalchas South Block situated in Dera Bugti district of Balochistan province.
Under the reform-oriented vision of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the country continues to move steadily toward enhancing local energy resources.
Mari Energies Limited has officially announced a successful gas discovery at the Tabri-1 well, representing an encouraging milestone for increasing national gas output.
The Tabri-1 well was drilled last year to a depth of 7,170 feet. Initial well testing results indicate a gas flow rate of up to 11 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Further testing and technical analysis are currently underway to determine the well’s full production potential.
Officials stated that the discovery is expected to play a vital role in boosting indigenous gas production, reducing dependence on imported energy, and strengthening national energy security. United Energy Pakistan Limited is serving as the operator of the project, while Mari Energies Limited and Dewan Petroleum are joint venture partners.
