NEW DELHI (Dunya News) - The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly issued a death threat to renowned Punjabi singer and music director Pratik Bachan, popularly known as B Praak, demanding Rs100 million (Rs10 crore) in extortion money.

A close associate of B Praak and fellow Punjabi singer Dilnoor received two missed calls from an international number on January 5, which were initially ignored. The following day, Dilnoor received another call from a different foreign number.

The caller identified himself as Arju Bishnoi, claiming to be a member of the Bishnoi gang, and instructed Dilnoor to convey a threatening message to B Praak.

The caller reportedly demanded Rs100 million, giving a one-week deadline, and warned that B Praak could travel anywhere in the world but anyone connected to him found nearby would be harmed. The threat further stated that failure to meet the demand would result in the singer being “destroyed” and killed.

Following Dilnoor’s complaint, police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Law enforcement authorities confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the origin of the calls and identify those involved.

B Praak is one of the most prominent figures in Punjabi and Hindi music. He has gained widespread acclaim for hit songs such as “Mann Bharrya” and the popular track “Sari Duniya Jala Denge” from the film Animal.
