ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Cold and dry weather is set to prevail across most parts of the country during next 24 hours, with very cold conditions in hilly areas, while moderate to dense fog is expected to disrupt routine life in many districts of Punjab, upper Sindh and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said partly cloudy and cold weather is expected in Islamabad and surrounding areas, where frost may occur at isolated places during the early morning hours.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry weather will dominate most districts, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in hilly areas. Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan and adjoining areas during morning and night hours.
Punjab is also likely to experience cold and dry weather in most districts, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas.
Dense fog is likely to affect Sialkot, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Mianwali, Layyah, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan, while frost may occur at a few places in the Pothohar region during morning hours.
In Sindh, cold and dry weather is expected to prevail over most districts, with moderate to dense fog likely over Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Larkana, Tando Jam, Mohenjodaro and surrounding areas.
Balochistan will witness mainly cold and dry weather across most parts of the province, while very cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in northern districts.
Fog may develop over Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Dera Murad Jamali, Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Sibbi and nearby areas during morning hours.
Very cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, where frost is likely to occur at isolated places in Kashmir during the morning.
