ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Sherry Rehman has said that India has failed to respond to the United Nations (UN), warning that Indian-sponsored terrorism could spark a major war in the region.

Senator Sherry Rehman stated that the UN had given India time to respond, but it did not do so. She said India has been found involved in international terrorism, adding that Indian nationals were also linked to the Sydney shooting incident.

She further said that the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) should also examine India’s role in terrorism. According to a UN report, there are fears of the spread of major conflicts, and India has been found involved in terrorism as well as violations of the Indus Waters Treaty.

On the occasion, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt said that Pakistan’s narrative is gaining acceptance at the international level. She added that Pakistan’s stance is based on truth and facts, while India’s behavior has been highly irresponsible.

Senator Bushra Anjum Butt further said that Indian proxies are involved in terrorism in Balochistan and that India’s true face is being exposed before the international community. She added that India currently has no answers, while Pakistan is a responsible country that has always sought peace.
